Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery Location : High Point, NC Department : 35005 High Point Medical Center – Nursing: Labor and Delivery Status : Full time Hours per week : 36 (12‑hour shifts, 4 weekend shifts every 6 weeks) Pay Range : $38.20 – $57.30 per hour Summary The Labor and Delivery team at High Point Medical Center provides compassionate, patient‑ and family‑centered care throughout the childbirth journey. Nurses collaborate closely with OB providers and interdisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced, supportive environment focused on safety, education, and individualized care. Responsibilities Deliver safe, patient‑centered maternal care using the nursing process, clinical judgment, and evidence‑based practices—monitoring conditions and adjusting care to achieve optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams while promoting safety, quality, and accountability—maintaining documentation, supporting communication and delegation, and engaging in ongoing professional development and flexible patient care support. Qualifications Graduate of a Board of Nursing–approved nursing program. Active, unrestricted RN license (multi‑state compact and/or state‑specific based on practice location). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience. Additional certifications or experience may be required based on specialty (e.g., neonatal, high‑risk obstetrics). Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
