Assistant Controller

Job Description LHH is partnering with a company that has been making some changes and efficiencies to their team. They are looking for a temporary Assistant Controller to help with the day-to-day work and to assist with some implementing changes. This role is hands-on, operationally focused, and well-suited for someone with manufacturing or consumer goods experience. This position is fully in office in Seattle, but free parking is available. This role will probably be about a four-month contract role.
Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Oversee cost accounting activities including inventory, standard costing, and COGS
• Partner with operations on production cost analysis and margin improvement
• Maintain internal controls and support audit activities
• Lead and develop accounting staff (AP/AR/Staff Accountants)
• Contribute to ERP optimization and process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or CPG
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management
• ERP experience and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Pay Details: $54.00 to $56.00 per hour
