About the Role: The Contracts Consultant coordinates the execution of new and existing contracts between the company and its business partners (Government and non-Government contracts). Additional Information: Preferred location is Houston, Texas Nashville, Tennessee is a secondary location This position does not offer sponsorship This position requires 5 days onsite What You Will Do: Reviews and leads contract execution on products, premium and exposure limits; notifying government and commercial parties of contract terminations, renewals and re-instatements. Preparing bids, negotiating specifications and contractual provisions regarding compensation plans and business targets. Ensures execution of order to delivery standard work process to meet complex contractual requirements. Recommends solutions to ensure alignment to adhere to medium complexity contractual obligations. What You Will Have: Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner. Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Summary Pay Range: $97,530.00 - $146,290.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
