Reliability Engineer

Job TitleThe engineer will be responsible for leading and executing reliability tests on new client's and supplier technologies, development of new test procedures to quantify the reliability of a design, and failure analysis resulting from these tests.Key Qualifications:Experience performing reliability testing including Mechanical Stress Tests, Shock/Drop/Vibration Testing, Environmental TestingKnowledge of industry test Standards (JEDEC, ASTM, IEEE)Application of DOE (design of Experiments)Application of FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)Excellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to manage multiple projects at the same timeAbility to complete tests and resolve problems in an unattended mannerDynamic and "can do" attitude with a desire to work with a great team and productFlexibility and adaptability to accept new tasksFailure Analysis analytical techniques (Optical Microscopy, X-Ray, SEM/EDS, FTIR, XPS etc)Strong attention to detailExceptional problem solving abilitiesAbility to use fundamental failure analysis methodology to derive a root cause of failureSolid understanding of mechanical assembliesDescription:Preparing concise and detailed test plans and test reportsStatistical data analysis to provide risk assessments of a designPrioritizing and completing tasks to meet deadlinesProviding design input to improve product reliability when necessaryInteracting with a wide variety of individuals and teams to communicate resultsResearching a technology to determine possible failure modesDevelopment of new reliability tests procedures and specificationsLess than 5% traveling frequencyEducation:Engineering degree and 3+ years of experience in a related field or industry requiredConsumer electronics experience is preferredBS or MS in Materials Science, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering or an equivalent field desired
