CNC Operator Job Description
Responsibilities:
CNC VTL operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC vertical lates to machine parts. Please see
the requirements for this role:
- 3+ years of experience operating CNC lathes,
Preferably VTL machines.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience with CNC controls ( Fanuc, Siemens) preferred.
- Familiar with G-Code and M- Code
- Skilled on tool changes, offsets, and set-up adjustments.
- Knowledge of calipers tape measure, and other measuring tools.
- Understanding of tolerances and surface finish requirements.
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. regularly
- Stand for long periods, bending and manual moving.
- Knowledge of basic programming or editing G-code at the machine.
- Experience with large-diameter parts.
- Understanding of tool wear and machine maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality control.
