Job Description

Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing, is currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist for a night shift opportunity with a leading precision manufacturing company in the Houston area.

Schedule

Night Shift
MondayFriday 3pm-12am
Overtime opportunities available
Location: Houston, TX- Hobby Airport area
Pay:$30+ depending on experience

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision-machined components.
Operate a VT-60 Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) and other CNC equipment.
Utilize Siemens 840D controls to run programs and make machine adjustments.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Monitor machining operations to ensure quality and production standards are met.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary offsets or adjustments.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Work closely with production and quality teams to meet customer specifications and production deadlines.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience .
Experience operating CNC mills and lathes .
Experience operating a VT-60 Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) .
Required: Experience with Siemens 840D controls .
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
