About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology & Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity at a free-standing cancer center in Greenville, SC. This position offers a primarily outpatient practice focused on benign hematology and malignant oncology, with inpatient responsibilities and participation in multidisciplinary cancer care.

Schedule & Practice Details

· Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

· Weekend Requirements: None

· Call: One week every 6–8 weeks

· Practice Setting: Free-standing cancer center

· Patient Population: Adult and geriatric

· Outpatient Volume: Approximately 25 patients per day

· Inpatient Volume: Approximately 20 patients per day for rounding/call coverage

· Practice Composition: 65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology, 0% internal medicine

Responsibilities

· Evaluate and manage patients with benign hematologic disorders and malignant cancers.

· Provide outpatient consultations, treatment planning, and follow-up care.

· Manage inpatient oncology and hematology patients, including rounding and call coverage.

· Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings.

· Manage bone marrow transplant patients and coordinate related care.

· Collaborate with the blood bank and other clinical teams.

· Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.

· Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans.

Qualifications

· Board Certification in Hematology & Oncology required.

· Active South Carolina medical license required.

· Current BLS certification required.

· Active DEA registration required.
