If you are a current State of Oregon employee, you must apply through your employee Workday profile.A day in the life:Manage the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the legislative budget and operational budget for the Commerce & Compliance Division (CCD) and ensure it operates within fiscal constraints.Develop and maintain CCD fiscal policies, standards, processes and procedures.Coordinate the preparation of budget policy option packages, reduction options, workload measures and program narratives and make recommendations for changes.Maintain the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) budget using agency workbooks and online federal tools.Prepare all MCSAP quarterly and monthly financial reports and contracts.Ensure that grant funds are expended according to contract provisions and that performance documents are properly filed and maintained.Provide guidance and consultation to branch managers in developing and justifying budget proposals.Prepare forecasts and interpretations of major components of the CCD budget to monitor the financial performance of the division.Manage and evaluate budgets and programs for problems or changes that impact budget projections.Make budgetary recommendations based on the results of studies and fiscal models.Work is performed in an office setting and may involve working long hours to ensure deadlines and timelines are met.To request a copy of the position description, which includes all duties and working conditions, please email View email address on click.appcast.io’s in it for you:Work/life balance, 11 paid holidays a year, flexible work schedules, paid leave and so much more. Experience must have included modeling and forecasting fiscal information.Notes:A bachelor's degree in business, public or non-profit management, finance, accounting or a related degree (such as public policy, political science, public administration or other analytical or technical degree) may substitute for three years of the required experience.A graduate-level degree in any of the above areas may substitute for four of the six years.What we’d like to see:If you have these attributes, let us know in your application materials!
