RN NIGHT SHIFT PART TIME
VOLUNTEER BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
EXEMPLARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implement policies and procedures of the Crisis Stabilization Unit
• Supervise Psychiatric Technicians on shift
• Assist Psychiatric Technicians when needed in providing for the daily living activities of the patients
• Implement procedures for providing the medical needs ordered for each patient while in CSU
• Screen calls and questions pertaining to medication
• Arrange educational sessions for patients pertaining to medication
• Document all patients having had a handout sheet and educational session pertaining to their medications. Also, patient's family when indicated
• Monitor the lab work within the guidelines pertaining to the specific medication
• Help maintain and support patients receiving medications by individual evaluation and/or group
• Phone or dispense prescriptions (signed by the doctor) in consultation with the psychiatrist
• Complete Admission Assessments and create Treatment Plans
• Participate in staffing
• Other duties as assigned EDUCATIONAL/ EXPERIENCE Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee and experience working in the mental health field. Registered Nurse with Psychiatric Certification preferred.
