VATT Registered Nurse

Role Overview Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a VATT Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving the health and wellness of the community. The VATT Registered Nurse is responsible for conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments according to provider orders and best-practice standards, and closely monitoring patient responses to interventions. You will coordinate care across disciplines to ensure safe, seamless transitions, communicate effectively with patients and families to provide education and support, and advocate for patient needs while upholding Mission Health’s commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care. Responsibilities Working in our fast-paced clinical environment, you will accurately document all aspects of care in the electronic health record, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and ancillary staff to optimize outcomes. The VATT Registered Nurse is expected to adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies, maintain a safe environment by following infection prevention and safety protocols, and promptly identify and elevate changes in patient condition. You will also contribute to quality improvement initiatives, follow established clinical pathways, and participate in ongoing professional development, including training and education offered by Mission Health.
