Description

• Deliver focused speech therapy interventions that enhance language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and family members to foster progress beyond clinical encounters.
• Participate in patient evaluations and interventions in inpatient settings to ensure seamless care throughout their journey.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to governmental and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest practices and innovations in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
