• Proficiency in calculating metabolic needs, including energy, protein, fluid, and other specific nutrients.
• Ability to recommend appropriate nutrition interventions based on subjective and objective data.
• Competence in accurately documenting the initial and ongoing assessment of a patient's nutritional status and progress through chart reviews.
• Skill in overseeing the completion of diet slips three times a week for all patients with special dietary needs.

Description: The Dietitian collaborates with dietary services to act as a resource to dietary staff. This ensures the delivery of a nutrition care program in accordance with established standards. The role involves accurately identifying patients at nutrition risk. Assessing diet orders based on the patient's age and current condition is essential. The Dietitian must also assess physical limitations that may compromise nutritional status. Calculating metabolic needs, such as energy, protein, fluid, and specific nutrients, is a key responsibility.
