Senior Accountant

Century Group is working with a well known retail client south of the Denver metro area. Our client is in need of a strong Senior Accountant who eventually wants to go into a management position. Local candidates only. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $60,000 to $80,000 per year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reconcile every retail location's accounts
• Reconciliation of fixed assets and collaborate with other departments to maintain required documentation.
• Prepare and enter general ledger entries.
• Capability to independently create new spreadsheets and reconciliations for new programs or changes within the company.

• Organizational and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and ethical integrity.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional groups across the organization.
• Customer-service focus with a sense of urgency, maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers (employees), management, and external vendors

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred. Significant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in general staff accounting. Prior team leadership experience preferred.
