Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Aspire Senior Living Excelsior Springs Full-Time Day New Management Support! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Aspire Senior Living Excelsior Springs, a skilled nursing facility located in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) , you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing high-quality physical therapy services in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. About the Role As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with Aspire Senior Living Excelsior Springs, you will be responsible for assisting physical therapists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Your duties will include:
- Assisting physical therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans
- Performing physical therapy interventions, such as exercises, stretches, and physical modalities
- Maintaining accurate records and reports of patient treatment
- Educating patients and their families on physical therapy techniques and exercises
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our residents
- Assist physical therapists in the evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide range of medical conditions and impairments
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical function and abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet patients' unique needs and goals
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions and group therapy classes
- Monitor and record patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and communication with families and healthcare providers
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program preferred
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensure in the state of Missouri or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients as needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
