Supervisor - Aseptic Filling (Day Shift)

This brand-new campus will utilize the latest technology to increase the company’s capacity in parenteral (injectable) medications, device assembly, and packaging operations. During the project phase, the Operations Supervisor (Filling) will support start‑up activities to bring the Parenteral (PAR) area into service. Responsibilities include coordinating start‑up support, training on equipment, developing technical proficiency, fostering a diverse and inclusive culture, and leading operational readiness activities. The role requires domestic travel (2–4 week trips and/or 3–12 month short‑term assignments) and may involve international travel to collaborate with other sites. Once the facility is turned over to operations, the Supervisor will lead the team that operates the multiple PAR departments, ensuring adequate staffing with trained, qualified employees and strict adherence to safety and quality rules and procedures. Direct line supervision includes line leaders and operators. Responsibilities Support start‑up activities for the Parenteral area. Train and develop technical proficiency for team members. Build and maintain an inclusive, diverse culture. Lead operational readiness and quality activities. Travel domestically (2–4 week trips) and internationally as needed. Ensure the team is adequately staffed and trained. Enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards. Provide direct supervision to line leaders and operators. Grow into future leadership and technical roles at the site. Key Objectives / Deliverables Integrity Lead by example with a Safety First, Quality Always mindset. Ensure shop‑floor execution aligns with business plans, cGMP conformance, and operational manufacturing excellence. Promote continuous improvement; gather and implement improvement ideas with high value. Maintain adequate, trained, and compliant personnel to meet production goals. Develop area documentation (procedures, work instructions, job aides, etc.) to support startup, training, and operation. Investigate deviations and operational quality issues; support root‑cause analysis and corrective actions. Respect for People Build a diverse, empowered, and capable team. Manage multiple direct reports across manufacturing lines. Coach, develop, and evaluate operators’ performance. Communicate cross‑functionally with support teams regarding quality, equipment, and operational concerns. Basic Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior supervisory experience. Basic computer skills (desktop software, MS Office). Previous experience in operations or direct manufacturing support (Pharma, Food, Clean‑room). Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple requests. Strong technical aptitude and ability to train and mentor others. A valid driver’s license. Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. No sponsorship for work authorization or visas is provided. Additional Skills / Preferences 4+ years in manufacturing/operations with 2+ years in a supervisory role. Knowledge of cGMP standards and FDA (or other industry) guidelines. STEM degree or certification. Experience with aseptic filling, single‑use assemblies, and isolator technology. Experience with automated, semi‑automated, and/or manual inspection. Familiarity with highly automated equipment (inspection, packaging, filling, assembly). Experience with manufacturing execution systems and SAP or other electronic business systems. Continuous improvement methodology (lean, Six Sigma, etc.). Root‑cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Team organization and motivation skills. Knowledge of facility, equipment, and startup processes. Benefits Compensation ranges from $35.33 to $57.12 per hour, based on education, experience, skills, and location.
