On-call requiredLocation: Springfield, MOBenefits: Full benefits packageAbout the RoleThis role leads the plant maintenance function to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance team, drive preventive maintenance strategy, and partner cross-functionally to improve equipment uptime and plant performance.Job ResponsibilitiesLead the maintenance department and provide direction, coaching, and support to the teamEnsure equipment and facility systems are maintained for safe and efficient operationOversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset lifeUse plant systems and planning tools to improve maintenance scheduling, parts planning, and work executionServe as the escalation point for emergency maintenance issuesPartner with engineering and plant leadership on equipment upgrades, replacements, and improvement projectsHelp manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and cost control effortsDevelop department procedures, expectations, and performance standardsManage department staffing, scheduling, performance, and employee developmentSupport plant compliance with safety, GMP, food safety, quality, and sanitation standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience5-8 years of maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related experiencePrior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment requiredManager-level experience preferredFood or dairy manufacturing experience preferredStrong knowledge of maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and plant operationsExperience leading safety programs and enforcing safe work practicesFamiliarity with SAP or similar maintenance planning systems preferredStrong communication, organization, and team leadership skillsLicenses or certifications in areas like electrical, welding, boiler, refrigeration, compressed air, wastewater, or plumbing are a plusInterested?
