ConciergeThe Concierge is responsible for answering and transferring all incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner, giving information, direction, and other appropriate assistance to residents, staff, guests and vendors. Performs a variety of clerical duties as assigned.Essential Job Duties (Other duties will be assigned as needed): Must be willing and able to do the followingOpens and closes the front desk and properly secures all files, keys, and equipment in the office areaCommunicates to the appropriate parties, promptly and clearly, all messages and material directed to them through the business officeAccepts and records, as directed, payments, reservations, appointments, cancellations and the likeConfirms scheduled transportation and event registration with residentsReceives all persons who enter the Community in a courteous manner, informs, guides, directs or otherwise assists residents, visitors, staff or vendors tactfully and congenially to present the best possible image of the CommunityOvernight Concierge/Security: Delivers newspapers to the resident's apartments & collects trash from IL apartments.Must have a flexible scheduleQualifications:High School graduate preferredAbility to communicate efficiently in English using proper grammar in a pleasant mannerTyping and experience with Microsoft Office softwareMust be able to handle a multiplicity of routine tasks, following specific instructions carefully and general instructions completelyPhysical Requirements/Working Conditions:Physical effort is minimalSeventy-five percent (75%) of the workday is spent sitting, standing intermittently, and bendingMust be able to lift and carry up to twenty (20) pounds. Requires manual coordination to operate switchboard, computer, and other business equipmentRequires continuous mental and visual attention to diversified operationsMust be able to function efficiently despite distractions and interruptionsCommunicates orally and/or in writing with residents, coworkers, families, and general publicOvernight Concierge/Security: Must be able to push and pull cart & trash binIndependent and Assisted Living Community
