This role serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, directing all aspects of information technology, including infrastructure, business systems, application development, information security, and IT support, while ensuring technology investments align with and accelerate business strategy, operational efficiency, and the customer experience. The VP owns the IT capital and operating budget, leads a multi-disciplinary IT organization, and is accountable for the reliability, security, and scalability of technology systems that support the company's operations.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.Strategic Leadership & Business AlignmentServe as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, contributing to long-range business planning and identifying technology-driven opportunities to strengthen brand position, customer experience, and operational performanceOwn and direct the company's overall IT strategy, architecture, and roadmap, ensuring hardware, software, and systems investments meet current and future business needs in a scalable, cost-effective mannerPartner with business unit leaders across retail, production, distribution, and corporate functions to assess technology needs and deliver solutions that support operational goalsEvaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions, including digital and omnichannel capabilities, that differentiate the company's brand and enhance the customer shopping experienceData Architecture & GovernanceLead the enterprise-wide rearchitecture of the company's data ecosystem, establishing a modern, scalable data architecture that consolidates and organizes data across retail, production, distribution, and corporate systemsEstablish enterprise data governance standards, including data ownership, quality, integrity, security, and lifecycle management, ensuring data is trusted, consistent, and reliable across the organizationChampion a data-driven decision-making culture, partnering with business leaders to identify high-value use cases where data and analytics can accelerate and improve strategic and operational decisionsDirect the development of business intelligence and analytics capabilities, including reporting, dashboards, and self-service tools, that give leaders and teams timely access to actionable insightsEvaluate and implement technologies (e.g., master data management, data integration/ETL platforms, analytics and AI tools) that improve the organization's ability to capture, store, and utilize data effectivelyEnsure data architecture and governance practices comply with applicable data privacy and security regulationsBuild data literacy and analytics capability across the organization, including talent strategy for data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence roles within the IT organizationFinancial & Vendor ManagementDevelop and manage the annual IT capital and operating budget; analyze financial performance and utilization data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure effective allocation of resources, including laborNegotiate and manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers, including contract terms, service levels, and total cost of ownershipSecurity, Risk & ComplianceOwn enterprise information security and risk management strategy, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of company data and systems; serve as the executive accountable for cybersecurity posture and incident responseEstablish, communicate, and enforce IT governance, security policy, and technical standards across the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, data privacy laws)Direct business continuity and disaster recovery planning for all IT systems supporting retail, production, and distribution operationsOrganizational Leadership & Talent DevelopmentBuild, lead, and develop a high-performing IT organization across infrastructure, business systems, IT support, and security functions; establish organizational structure, leadership talent, and succession plans to meet current and future business needsPartner with Employee Experience to forecast staffing needs, build internal talent pipelines, and lead selection processes for key IT leadership positionsChampion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and employee engagement within the IT organization, consistent with company valuesCommunication & Stakeholder EngagementCommunicate technology strategy, priorities, and performance to executive leadership, the board (as applicable), and key stakeholders, ensuring appropriate visibility and input into decisions affecting their teamsOther Job Duties (Not considered essential to the job)Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner.Compensation DisclaimerThe actual rate of pay offered within the range may depend on several factors such as skills, knowledge, expertise, and experience.
