Assistant Case Manager – Day Reporting Center Summary: The Assistant Case Manager provides case management support for a Day Reporting Center, checking in participants and assisting Behavior Change Managers with case coordination, case management, and documentation. The role uses evidence‑based practices and applies the Principles of Effective Intervention (What Works). Responsibilities Checks in all participants entering the facility and performs drug screens according to the assigned random schedule. Performs breath analysis for each participant who enters the facility and provides a written or computerized result. Completes the initial “Starting Point” process with participants, including paperwork, database entry, and assignment of groups and services. Provides general office administration duties, including answering phones and delivering general customer service to participants, customers, and the public. Assists Behavior Change Managers with case coordination, communication with official agencies, and preparation of reports. Manages a participant caseload using Principles of Effective Intervention; conducts risk/need assessments and creates individual treatment plans; documents progress in the company database. Facilitates evidence‑based CBT programs and other life‑skills programs in groups each week, documenting attendance and progress. Develops and monitors participant progress relative to their CMP throughout the program. Files, prepares charts, and performs data entry as assigned. May be responsible for office opening and closing procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. College coursework in Human Services or Business discipline preferred. Minimum six months experience in human services with direct participant services preferred. Minimum six months experience working with underserved populations preferred. Must be 21 years of age or older. Good customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Solid computer skills; proficiency with MS Word, Excel, basic database, and math skills. Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) skills may be required. Effective communication with participants, staff, corporate management and agency personnel; ability to work with public officials. Ability to express thoughts in written and verbal English with correct grammar. Professional conduct in individual and group counseling settings. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work within a team and implement team strategy for work assignments. Proficiency with necessary department software. #J-18808-Ljbffr
