TITLE: At Your Service - Bellman/Shuttle Driver

DEPARTMENT: Front Office

REPORTS TO: Director of Rooms/Front Desk Leadership

JOB SUMMARY

To provide safe, professional, and efficient luggage assistance and transportation services while delivering exceptional guest service aligned with hotel and brand standards (e.g., Marriott International standards, if applicable).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Bellman/Driver is responsible for:

· Greeting guests promptly and professionally.

· Assisting with luggage handling.

· Escorting guests to guestrooms.

· Handle guest packages

· Explaining room features and hotel amenities.

· Operating hotel shuttle vehicles safely.

· Drive guest 5 miles radius from hotel.

· Maintaining cleanliness of lobby entrance and vehicles.

· Always ensuring guest safety and security.

· Back up Front Desk agents if necessary.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the requirements of the hotel.

· Perform general guest services using standard hotel procedures.

· Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.

· Assist other Front Desk employees with guest request and guest needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Most work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.

· Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.

· Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.

· Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.

· Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.

· Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different floors of the hotel on a timely basis.

· Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

· Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.

· Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

· Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

AVAILABILITY

This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed work day, to include Holidays, or time of work if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determines the amount of hours that you work.

In accordance with Illinois law, the compensation and benefits for this position are as follows:

Pay Range:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour, plus tips

Compensation within this range will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and other job-related factors consistent with applicable law.

Scheduling Expectations

Work schedules for this position are based on business needs and may vary, including:

• Evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Shifts based on occupancy levels, events, and seasonal demand
