Assignment Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience - Traveler experience required - ACLS, BCLS/BLS, NIHSS certifications required - Experience in stroke patient care - Charting system experience: Epic - License: NC or Compact license pending allowed

Roles & Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive care for neurocritical patients, including those diagnosed with strokes and post-neurosurgery. - Monitor and manage ventilated patients, including administering continuous IV sedation. - Perform central line care and blood product administration. - Conduct dysrhythmia interpretation and management. - Utilize ICP monitoring and manage external ventricular drains (EVDs) and lumbar drains. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.

- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) - Must pass EKG testing prior to start - RTO: Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; additional RTO must be pre-approved
