Business Analyst-Senior

Essential Duties/Responsibilities Work through complex issues that include creating test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts mapped to workflow, and system design requirements. Work through complex issues that include creating test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts mapped to workflow, and system design requirements. Replicate, isolate, and identify a root cause while providing workarounds and testing, fixes, and patches in a staging or test environment. Monitor system issues and provide feedback. Research and resolve front-end/user and back-end/system problems by diagnosing the root cause, hypothesizing, and mapping out a possible solution, and testing the solution in the QA environment. Resolve issues by engaging appropriate business/policy staff, software developers and/or vendor specialists. Assist users in monitoring and analyzing their data via SQL querying and reporting. Work closely with end users, project management, application developers, and others to understand features and create a robust, comprehensive test strategy to verify functionality. Required/Desired Skills Skill Required /Desired Amount of Experience Experience writing, refining, and analyzing SQL queries to answer questions and resolve issues Required 7 Years Extensive SQL skills Required 7 Years Experience creating test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts mapped to workflow, and system design requirements Required 7 Years Strong experience debugging applications Required 7 Years Curiosity with the ability to problem-solve in a creative but vigilant manner Required 0 Critical thinking skills with a strong emphasis on accuracy, precision, and logical reasoning Required 0 Verbal and written communication skills Required 0 User-level experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
