Job description:Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain floors through regular care, including buffing and waxing as needed.
- Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and well-maintained at all times.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct minor maintenance tasks to ensure facilities are in good working condition.
- Assist with industrial cleaning duties as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete larger cleaning projects efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Familiarity with floor care procedures including buffing and waxing.
- Experience in residential painting is a plus.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and effectively.
- Basic facilities maintenance skills are advantageous.
- Porter experience is beneficial for managing high traffic areas effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
