Controller

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Accounting professional to oversee financial operations and support the continued growth of our organization. This role will be responsible for leading core accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and building scalable processes in a dynamic environment. This is a key position that partners closely with executive leadership to enhance financial visibility, strengthen controls, and support operational decision‑making. Key Responsibilities Own the day-to-day accounting operations , including general ledger, AP, AR, and cash management Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate, timely cash reporting Manage accounts payable , including invoice entry, coding, and timely processing of vendor payments Manage accounts receivable , including invoicing, applying cash, and actively following up with customers to collect outstanding balances Drive AR collections efforts to improve cash flow and reduce aging Collaborate with sales and operations to support financial visibility and business insights accounting , reconciliations, and audit readiness as needed Ensure proper revenue recognition practices and internal controls are followed Continuously improve workflows across AP, AR, inventory, and reporting Provide occasional support for administrative and system-related needs to keep operations running smoothly Preferred Experience Prepare and post journal entries and manage the monthly close process from start to finish Perform account reconciliations for all key balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness Maintain and track inventory , including monitoring balances, supporting counts, and ensuring accurate costing and valuation Partner with operations to ensure inventory accuracy and alignment with financial records Analyze variances and trends in revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), and operating expenses Support intercompany Document and improve accounting processes and procedures , ensuring appropriate controls are in place Assist with budgeting and forecasting , including tracking actuals vs. plan and providing insights into business performance Qualifications Bachelor’s or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, or equivalent work experience 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Proven ability to build processes and operate in a growth-oriented environment Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills What We’re Looking For A builder mindset - someone who can create structure where needed A leader who is both strategic and hands-on - individual contributor Ability to operate independently while partnering cross-functionally Strong attention to detail with a focus on continuous improvement Ability to manage a high volume of financial transactions daily in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strong attention to accuracy and detail Why Join Us Opportunity to play a critical role in a growing organization High visibility with senior leadership Ability to shape systems, processes, and the future state of accounting Collaborative, fast-paced environment with room for growth Benefits: 401(k) 4% Match Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Benefits: 401(k) 4% Match Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
