Description

American Traveler is hiring a floating MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient clinic role requiring Siemens equipment proficiency and the ability to work across two locations.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting within the MRI department
• Position functions as both an in-house MRI Tech at the primary West Ashley location and a Mobile MRI Tech at the North Charleston location, traveling to North Charleston 1–2 times per week
• Schedule options include 5x8s (12:30 PM–9:00 PM), 4x10s (10:30 AM–9:00 PM), or 3x12s (8:30 AM–9:00 PM), Monday–Friday
• Saturday coverage required on a rotating basis (8:00 AM–4:00 PM), with weekly hours totaling 40 regardless of Saturday assignment
• No on-call requirement
• Charting system: Epic (experience preferred)
• Siemens MRI equipment experience required; Sectra experience preferred
• MRI exams include general studies, implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac MRI

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• Current BLS (AHA only) required
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• A state license is not required for this position; however, a license is required if applicable
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Proficiency with Siemens MRI equipment required
• Ability to travel between two clinic locations (West Ashley and North Charleston)
• Radiation badge required — must be provided by the traveler's agency prior to start

Additional Information

• Performs high-quality MRI examinations across a range of modalities including general, breast, cardiac, elastography, defecography, and implant studies, in accordance with established protocols
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any facility within this health system must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis, with non-local candidates prioritized
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on the manager's and unit's needs
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
• Scrub colors: teal top and black pants
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
