Cook (Full-Time)

Edenbrook Second Ave is currently looking for a positive and reliable Cook who understands the importance of their role in delivering high-quality care through excellent meal preparation and service.

Position: Cook (Full-Time)

• $17.00/HR and its a 10 day schedule ( every other weekend)
• 6:30am-2:30pm

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients (e.g., chopping vegetables, cutting meat)
• Cook food using various techniques (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)
• Monitor food while cooking and make adjustments as needed
• Plate dishes with attention to presentation
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment
• Properly store food and ingredients
• Monitor food quality and freshness
• Track inventory and alert supervisor when supplies run low

Skills

• Proven experience working in a kitchen
• Familiarity with cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
• Knowledge of a variety of cooking methods
• Ability to follow all sanitation and safety procedures
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good physical stamina and attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Culinary school training is a plus
