CT Technologist

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. They are vital members of a collaborative care team, performing CT procedures according to department guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA). Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment, report issues promptly. Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient identification before exams. Explain procedures clearly, address questions, and reduce patient anxiety using AIDET principles. Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit. Perform exams, administer contrast via venipuncture using sterile techniques, and position patients accurately. Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat or correct as needed, and document findings in RIS/PACS systems. Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and maintain life-support equipment. Organize workflows, support departmental operations, and ensure compliance with regulations. Qualifications & Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum 1 year of radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (American Heart Association).
