Lab DirectorLocation: Bartlett, Tennessee (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-TimeThe Lab Director is responsible for overseeing all laboratory operations, ensuring high-quality testing, regulatory compliance, and efficient department management. This leadership role includes responsibility for budgeting, staff management, and technical oversight across laboratory services within an acute care setting.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage annual operating and capital budgets for the laboratoryDirect daily operations and ensure efficient workflow across all lab departmentsLead, hire, discipline, and manage laboratory staffEnsure quality, accuracy, and compliance of laboratory testingOversee laboratory technical development, implementation, and integrationSupport instrument acquisition, logistics, and laboratory information systems (LIS) integrationEnsure compliance with CLIA and regulatory standardsCollaborate with hospital leadership to align lab services with organizational goalsPerform additional duties as requiredMust-Have Skills• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related health science• 5+ years of hospital laboratory experience with management responsibilities• Meets CLIA General Supervisor requirements• Certification (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent)• Strong leadership and team management skillsRequired Skills• Budget management (operational and capital)• Laboratory operations oversight• Quality assurance and compliance• Staff supervision and performance management• Laboratory systems and process optimizationPreferred / Nice-to-Have Skills• Master's degree in Healthcare or Business-related field• Prior Lab Director experience• Advanced certifications (ASCP/NCA preferred)Industry Experience• Acute care hospital laboratory requiredEducation• Bachelor's degree required• Master's degree preferredAdditional Notes• Leadership role with full operational responsibility• Relocation assistance available for strong candidates• Interview travel reimbursement provided
