Program SpecialistThe primary responsibilities of the Program Specialist include providing intensive and specialized supports for people who have an intellectual disability or mental illness. Program Specialists focus on domains such as personal care, recreation/leisure, vocational, safety, social, and/or community awareness and integration. Program Specialists provide individual supports to persons who have extraordinary behavioral or medical support needs.Salary: $45,000Schedule: 8:00 AM-4:30 PMLocation: Frankfort, ILReports To: Network DirectorNetwork or Department: Network 6Essential Functions:Provides behavioral coaching to a person who has a developmental disability or mental illness in assigned treatment areasCompletes progress reports and other necessary forms or documentsParticipates and interacts with individuals in various activities as specified in Individual Service Plans and Social Transition PlansConsults with Behavioral Analyst and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional concerning appropriate goals, objectives, and treatment techniquesAssists in the development and execution of goals and objectives for people servedMakes suggestions for improving Organization and Program effectiveness and efficiencyCompletes a monthly report reflecting Program Specialist interventionCompletes an annual report, that is assessed quarterly to track progressAssists with development and implementation of age-appropriate and functional training materialsAssists with development of a monthly calendarResponsible for working with supervisor in the development of an individual plan of personal growth and developmentTransports persons served to and from activities as neededWorks with independent living coaches in encouraging their professional growth and knowledgeSkills and Abilities:Able to make independent decisions and problem solveAble to deal tactfully with colleagues, program participants, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general publicAble to implement goals, objectives, policies and procedures, necessary for providing quality careExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsStrongly self-motivatedPhysical Demands:Be able to lift over 40 pounds from floor to waist unassistedPush and pull up to 75 pounds; push wheelchairs up to 200 poundsPerform physical movements including squatting, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.Stand, sit, or remain stationary for extended periods.Operate motor vehiclesPerform repetitive hand and finger movements for computer and phone use.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.Valid Drivers LicensePace certificationBenefits:Health, Vision, Dental, and Life insuranceEducational AssistancePaid time offSick timePaid HolidaysPersonal TimePotential Year-End BonusFinancial Assistance Program (Cookie Jar)Employee Referral Program (Bounty Bucks)Disclaimer:Duties and responsibilities may change, and new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
