A growing regional law firm is seeking a Family Law Partner attorney to join its expanding practice as a Junior Partner-level hire following a recent strategic expansion.
This opportunity is hybrid and ideal for an entrepreneurial attorney with an established client base seeking to grow their practice on a collaborative, well-supported platform.
The firm is specifically seeking a candidate with a portable book of business of approximately $500K+ and experience handling sophisticated matrimonial and family law matters.
What You'll Do
- Manage a broad range of matrimonial and family law matters
- Advise clients on divorce, custody, support, and complex financial matters
- Build and expand an existing client base within a growing regional platform
- Collaborate closely with Partners and leadership on strategic growth initiatives
- Contribute to the continued development of the firm’s regional presence
Ideal Background
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 7+ years of matrimonial/family law experience preferred
- Active Connecticut bar admission, or ability to waive in quickly through admission in New York, New Jersey, or a comparable jurisdiction
- Portable book of business of approximately $500K+
- Strong client management and business development skills
- Willingness to regularly collaborate with the regional office team
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in long-term practice growth
