Matrimonial & Family Law Attorney — Partner Level Greenwich, CT | Full Time | $225,000–$300,000 annually
Role Seeking a Partner-level Matrimonial and Family Law Attorney to join and expand a Connecticut practice, with cross-office collaboration expected. Must have an established portable book of business and strong reputation in the family law community.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in contested/uncontested divorces, custody, support, and post-judgment matters
- Handle complex high-net-worth divorces including equitable distribution, alimony, and child support
- Draft and negotiate prenuptial, postnuptial, and cohabitation agreements
- Serve as lead counsel in negotiations, mediations, and contested litigation including trial and appellate matters
- Maintain and grow a portable book of business and referral networks
- Collaborate with Trusts & Estates, Tax, Criminal, Real Estate, and Corporate practice groups
- Meet billable expectations and contribute to practice growth
- Mentor junior attorneys and participate in business development and leadership
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Connecticut Bar admission in good standing (NY admission a plus)
- 7+ years concentrated matrimonial and family law experience
- Demonstrated portable book of business and collected originations
- Strong reputation for excellence, discretion, and client advocacy
- Excellent courtroom, negotiation, and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary/draw: $225,000–$300,000 based on experience and contribution
- Performance-driven compensation including origination credit and collections-based incentives
