Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (3x12 or 4x12) | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department setting within a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
• Perform assessment, interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Administer blood products, manage central lines, perform phlebotomy, start IVs, and oversee continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
• Care for patients presenting with a wide range of conditions including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, CVA, ortho-trauma, respiratory conditions, seizures, behavioral health conditions, and ventilated patients
• Document accurately using EPIC (hard requirement), communicate via SBAR, and utilize Pyxis for medication management
• Float as needed within the facility; maintain a patient ratio of 1:5

Required Qualifications

• Active New York (NY) RN license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
• TCAR certification
• Experience in non-trauma emergency department environments
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication protocols
