TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Potsdam, New York, 13676!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: New York Nursing License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Epic experience is a hard requirement - Candidates must be able to float to sister units - Availability to work every other weekend Description: The average daily census for the unit is 23 patients. There are 3 patient visits per day. The unit consists of 17 rooms and 30 beds. The patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. Candidates will be prioritized if they are PCU trained. The unit is a certified stroke center and may involve caring for patients with cardiac, respiratory, infectious diseases, and post-operative needs. Candidates should have experience in managing CPAP and BiPAP, administering blood products, and caring for patients with tracheostomies. Knowledge and skills in managing dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, and substance withdrawal are also necessary. Candidates will receive interdisciplinary support from physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services, among others. All patient age groups will be encountered, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Candidates must have experience with Epic charting systems. Candidates will be floated to corresponding units as necessary.
