Commercial Carpenter

Overview

Join a growing general contractor delivering high-quality commercial projects. In this role, you’ll perform both rough and finish carpentry across diverse builds—from schools and offices to retail and mixed-use spaces.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with project and job site layout.
• Measure, cut, and install metal framing, drywall, sheathing, and related materials.
• Install doors, windows, trim, flooring, and fixtures.
• Perform both rough framing and finish carpentry.
• Complete drywall work, including taping, mudding, and finishing.
• Repair or replace damaged structures and fixtures.
• Read blueprints and drawings to execute work accurately.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of carpentry experience (commercial or residential remodel).
• Strong skills in framing, drywall, and finish carpentry.
• Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure accurately.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Monday–Friday starting at 7:00 AM; overtime often available.
• Active commercial job sites (indoor & outdoor work).
• Fast-paced environment with strong safety standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schenectady, NY.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $39.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Schenectady,NY.
