Presbyterian is seeking a skilled RN for our Wound Care Unit. The Registered Nurse provides specialized assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic wounds. Treatment planning - Develop individualized wound care plans using evidencebased protocols, including debridement support, dressing selection, offloading, compression therapy, and infection prevention. Dressing management - Apply and monitor advanced wound dressings (hydrocolloids, alginates, foams, NPWT, antimicrobial dressings). Patient education - Teach patients and caregivers about wound care techniques, nutrition, hygiene, and prevention strategies. Interdisciplinary collaboration - Work closely with physicians, podiatrists, PT/OT, dietitians, and case managers to coordinate care. Documentation - Maintain accurate, timely wound records, photographs, and progress notes in the EMR. Quality improvement - Participate in pressure injury prevention programs, audits, and performance improvement initiatives. Staff training - Provide inservice education on wound prevention, dressing techniques, and product use. Infection control - Monitor for signs of infection and escalate care appropriately. Qualifications: Associate Degree in Nursing State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire At least one (1) year of acute care in the last three (3) years Wound care experience preferred Wound Certification preferred but not required AA/EOE/VET/DISABLED.
