Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Edison, NJ

Step into a vital role supporting elementary students for the 2024-2027 academic years, making a meaningful difference at a local school near Edison, NJ. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with students and staff on a dynamic elementary campus, utilizing your expertise to help children build crucial communication skills.


Hours for this role are 8:15AM to 3:15PM, Monday through Friday, with a total of 35 hours per week. The assignment will commence as soon as possible and extend through June 25, 2027.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to an elementary caseload, delivering interventions designed to enhance communication and language development
• Conduct comprehensive speech and language testing, evaluations, and assessments as needed
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation for all therapy activities and student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' educational needs
• Supply your own testing materials to meet requirements for district compliance

Qualifications:

• Current NJ Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
• Verifiable experience working as a school-based SLP
• Must be comfortable working within the district and able to efficiently manage and service the assigned caseload
• Reliable transportation necessary; must reside within a reasonable commute from the location
• Ability to independently conduct all required evaluations and provide comprehensive services
• Not accepting Clinical Fellows (CF) or SLPAs for this position
• Must complete onboarding requirements including TB test, physical exam, and fingerprinting
