Store Manager

Job Overview The Store Manager position is a salaried role. The Store Manager provides daily leadership to all positions within the store, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Guest Care Specialists, and Assistant Store Manager. Reporting to the District Manager, the Store Manager is responsible for day-to-day leadership, including selecting, coaching, and developing store teammates, and promoting Monro’s vision of being America’s leading auto and tire center for quality automotive service. Responsibilities Develop sales and technical teammates to deliver a consistent 5-star Guest experience. Meet sales goals by assisting in the development and implementation of sales plans, and maintaining thorough knowledge of services and products in the automotive industry. Introduce tire and service products to guests to maximize sales and guest satisfaction and loyalty. Train and develop teammates on all shop operations and guest services to maintain a productive sales environment. Provide direction and oversight to other technicians and assist with services/repairs as needed. Staff the store effectively by recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and managing performance of teammates. Control expenses through payroll, utilities, store maintenance and repairs, and other controllable costs. Manage inventory, including pulling tires and parts and stocking inventory. Audit courtesy inspections performed by teammates. Maintain the store in excellent condition per Monro standards for cleanliness and guest readiness. Schedule guest appointments and assign teammates according to skill level for efficient service completion. Inform and recommend tire and service products and promotions to achieve sales goals. Attend to guest needs in sales, service, complaints, and adjustments; build guest relationships to maximize satisfaction and retention. Assist teammates in communicating repair and service needs to guests. Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, governmental standards including environmental codes, and ANSI/OSHA standards; follow safety policies and procedures. Maintain technical knowledge through Monro University training and modules. Operate, utilize, and maintain equipment safely according to guidelines (lifts, welders, brake lathes, etc.). Perform other duties as assigned and required. Profile Summary Guest- and team-focused mindset with experience in customer-facing environments. Excellent verbal and written communication; able to convey technical issues and write routine reports. Business mindset with drive to exceed goals. Basic math skills for figures such as discounts and percentages. Proactive with proficiency in multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Ability to take initiative in identifying problems and producing practical solutions. Ability to mentor, coach, and develop teammates; resolve customer complaints. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated leadership experience in a retail/sales environment. Proven ability to manage, drive, and deliver financial results while controlling costs. Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals. Ability to problem solve, manage inventory, merchandising, and customer service. Effective communications skills with teammates and guests. Complete all required Monro training within timelines. Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory MVR. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This job operates in an automotive shop environment with moderate noise and exposure to conditions such as chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. The following physical requirements apply (not limited to): Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to see and lift, carry, and stock merchandise up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Frequent standing and walking for long periods. Frequent reaching, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting. Compensation: The yearly salary for this role is $60,000-$75,000. This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives. Pay will be determined based on experience level.
