Seeking passionate Special Education Teachers for the upcoming academic year to make a meaningful difference in elementary classrooms. Multiple full-time contract positions are available, each assigned to a single elementary school supporting students in specialized classrooms—ranging from life skills and autism support to behavior intervention and medically fragile units. Your expertise will help guide and empower diverse learners, fostering academic and personal growth in an inclusive setting.

The assignment will run from August 11, 2026, to May 28, 2027, with a set schedule of 37.5 hours weekly (on-site only; virtual/remote roles are not available). You’ll join a collaborative environment supported by paraprofessionals, nursing staff, and homebound educators where needed.

Key Qualifications:

• Accredited bachelor’s degree
• Valid Texas Special Education (EC-12) teaching certificate
• Eligibility to complete fingerprinting through TEA if not recently finalized for another district (clearance required prior to start)
• Experience or interest in elementary settings, with opportunities to specify preferred caseload (e.g., inclusion, behavior, medically fragile, autism, life skills)
• Commitment to working on-site in a single class-based structure

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and supports tailored to IEPs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, nurses, and homebound teachers
• Design and implement targeted interventions for behavior, life skills, or academic goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with families and multidisciplinary team members
• Foster a positive and productive learning environment for all students
