Construction Project Manager

Langer Construction is currently seeking a PROJECT MANAGER to join our St. Paul team. Founded in 1946, Langer Construction is ever evolving in the changing commercial construction industry. QUALIFICATIONS: Manage the overall financial health of projects: Ability to prepare final estimates and assist in preconstruction process. Develop and maintain project financial projections. Determine and allocate project estimate into financial system. Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisions. Provide financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment. Create monthly owner billings. Manage subcontracts/suppliers for the project: Oversee budget for and make selections of trade partners and suppliers. Handle billings and contract management, including contract buyouts. Function as the main point of contact with the owner and superintendent. Resolve site concerns for the owner or representative. Provide frequent interactions and service to build positive relationships and future work opportunities – maintain owner relationships post construction. Manage change orders: Determine when to submit to the owner. Obtain the customer/architect’s approval. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering and related experience running construction projects with contract values between $5,000 and $15 million. Experience running multiple jobs of various sizes at once a plus. REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency with scheduling, spreadsheets, cost control, and project management software – Microsoft Office, Project, Bluebeam, and Sage Construction preferred. Understanding of value engineering, life cycle costing, and project profit/cost processes. Ability to travel to project work sites. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience in driving accountability for financial and operational effectiveness, monitoring results, and tackling problems directly with the project team. Written, oral, and listening skills to effectively communicate with diverse audiences. Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects of various sizes and stages simultaneously under time constraints. BENEFITS: Medical, dental, and life insurance.
