About the Position

Job Title

Surgical Scrub Technologist – Operating Room (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 3x12s (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | On-Site | Call required (approximately one call shift per week and one weekend per six weeks)

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub into General and GYN surgical procedures, providing hands-on instrument and supply management throughout each case
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field in accordance with facility and surgical standards
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments, supplies, and equipment efficiently during procedures
• Participate in the on-call rotation, including evening, overnight, and weekend call as assigned
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedural accuracy
• Maintain active BLS certification and Scrub Tech certification throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active, current Scrub Tech Certification (CST or equivalent) — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of experience in General and GYN surgical scrubbing
• Must maintain a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel contract experience in a surgical or OR setting
• Familiarity with a variety of surgical specialties beyond General and GYN
• Ability to adapt quickly to new facility workflows, protocols, and surgical teams
