Are you passionate about improving the lives of seniors living with Alzheimer's disease and dementia? We're seeking an experienced Memory Care Director to lead a specialized memory care program within a well-established assisted living community in Bronx, NY .

Position Overview

The Memory Care Director is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and daily operations of a specialized memory care program serving residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other cognitive impairments. This role ensures the delivery of person-centered care while overseeing staff development, regulatory compliance, and program excellence.

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the memory care program.
• Manage care services for approximately 49 memory care residents.
• Supervise, mentor, and train staff on dementia care best practices and behavioral support.
• Develop and maintain individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and families.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dining, and activities teams to enhance resident well-being.
• Build strong relationships with residents' families through compassionate communication.
• Monitor program quality, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement best practices.

Qualifications

• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) preferred, or equivalent healthcare/administrative leadership experience.
• Dementia Care or Alzheimer's Care Certification strongly preferred.
• Leadership experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, or senior living.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
