CNC Press Brake Specialist

Company: Anchor Fabrication, LLC — a precision metal fabrication company

Schedule: 1st shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Work Remotely: No

At 6:00 AM, you’re on the floor reviewing blueprints and work orders, mapping out bend sequences and calculating angles and bend lines with charts and a calculator. By 7:00, you’ve selected the correct dies and support tooling, set up an Amada or Trumpf brake (experience with these is a plus), and built or edited a bend program from scratch to hit precise dimensions. Throughout the morning, you run the press brake, forming parts to blueprint specifications, and verify output with templates, scales, calipers, height gauges, and tape measures. You rely on gauges, sample parts, and poke yoke fixtures to hold tolerance, making in-program adjustments as needed.

Midday, you’re prioritizing production runs to ensure required dates are met, collaborating on Safety, production and machine TIS’s, and claiming labor accurately using computers. You maintain a clean, organized workstation and tooling, utilize set-up scrap wisely to finish jobs at the required quantities, and keep a sharp eye on quality—performing final checks and troubleshooting scrap issues immediately. As the shift winds down, you help newer operators learn best practices, confirm teammates are running the correct jobs on the Production monitor screens, and program additional brakes as needed—then button up with safe shutdown and housekeeping.

• Set up and operate all press brakes, including numerical control press brakes
• Plan sequences using knowledge of metal properties; determine and select dies
• Figure bend lines; calculate sizes and angles via calculators/charts
• Build, load, and adjust bend programs to produce parts to spec
• Run parts, verify dimensions, and complete all final Quality Check activities
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of machines, dies, and area
• Use gauges, sample parts, and poke yoke fixtures to ensure conformance
• Operate safely and follow best manufacturing practices
• Prioritize jobs to meet due dates; utilize set-up scrap effectively
• Collaborate on Safety, production and machine TIS’s
• Claim labor correctly utilizing computers
• Train new employees and ensure correct jobs are run via Production monitor screens
• Troubleshoot and correct scrap issues; program all Brakes
• Other duties as assigned

• Proficient blueprint reading and strong math skills
• G/D & T knowledge (must pass test)
• Experience with Amada and/or Trumpf brakes is a plus
• Epicor experience is a plus

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Technical school experience is a plus
