Associate Attorney

Oklahoma City, OK office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its expanding Civil Litigation Practice Group . This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys looking to join a growing team and work with experienced litigators in a collaborative environment, while contributing to case strategy and development.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of litigation experience with a focus on personal injury and/or medical malpractice preferred, but certainly not required; transferrable litigation experience is welcome. Candidates must be active members in good standing of the Oklahoma Bar .

Responsibilities

• Represent and defend clients in hearings, trials, and depositions
• Consult and counsel clients, effectively communicate on cases, providing consistent updates and comprehensive legal advice
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, prepare legal documents, and prepare and respond to discovery
• Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and other team members in building and executing successful defense strategies

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience
• Active membership in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute pre-trial strategy, exercise sound judgment, and think creatively
• Motivated in attending trial and utilizing litigation skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment

Compensation

Salary starts at $135,000 , commensurate with experience, plus two bonus structures and a comprehensive benefits package.
