Engineering Lab Manager

Amphenol PCD seeks a hands-on, detail-oriented, and safety-focused manager for an engineering laboratory. APCD is building a new laboratory facility to grow our technical capabilities, and this role will play a key part in supporting that strategic growth. Essential Functions:LeadershipLead day-to-day testing operations in the new laboratory facility, supervising and working alongside engineers and techniciansEnsure safe and complaint operationsDevelop lab capabilities (equipment, process, staff) and alignment with business growth and strategyTesting and Technical ExecutionDesign test setups and fixturesDevelop Qualification Test Procedures (QTPs)Execute mechanical and electrical testingAnalyze outcomes and failures and perform root cause analysis and associated design enhancementsImplement automated data acquisition where practicalAdditional duties as assignedCross-Functional CollaborationSupport design reviewsImplement corrective actionsStandardize verification and validation practices globallyWork with global testing team (Support labs in Shenzhen, China, and Pune, India)Additional duties as assignedRequired Skills/Qualifications: People leadershipLaboratory testing experience including lab capability developmentHands-on mechanical aptitudeData acquisition hard- and softwareExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound problem-solving skills, attention to detail, methodical and well organizedKnowledge of rapid prototyping/additive manufacturing methods and techniquesComputer literacy with MS Office suiteDesigned Skills/Qualifications:Knowledge of electromechanical testing in accordance with industry and military standards (MIL-STD, DO-160, EIA, IEC, etc.)Experience with environmental, mechanical, and electrical testingExperience with CREO and/or Solidworks CAD systemsEducation Requirement:BSME, or equivalent work experienceThe base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $145,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
