Opportunity OverviewOur Continuous Engineering team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven Engineering Manager to lead our Value Engineering team within the Semiconductor Test Division. Development occurs in a dynamic and challenging multi-site environment. This position will report to a Senior Engineering Manager in our North Reading, MA facility.Accountable for department budgets, personnel administration, project staffing, prioritization, salary reviews, training, individual career development, and recruitmentLead a cross-functional team of engineers to identify and execute cost down opportunities across the organizationDevelop and execute the value engineering project roadmap aligned with our business cost targetsProvide technical guidance, lessons learned, oversight, support and leadership to our engineering design staffEstablish and report on KPIs and cost reduction performance to senior managementDrive a culture of cost awareness and cost down mindset across engineering teamsAll About YouWe seek individuals who share our passion and determination. If you’re ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringMS or PhD strongly preferred8+ years experience in a mechanical or electrical design role within semiconductor equipment or complex electromechanical systemsExperience driving value engineering and cost down initiatives, including identifying design, material, and process optimization opportunitiesCertified Value Specialist (CVS) or equivalent accreditation a plusStrong problem-solving capabilities and organizational skillsProven ability to manage third party design resources from suppliers or contract engineering servicesExcellent oral, written, and presentation skillsStrong technical fluency across relevant technology domains (e.g., hardware, software, thermal, mechanical)Ability to manage, lead, and work with multi-site teamsA complete understanding of the development process of electro-mechanical products is requiredWe are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.Compensation:The base salary range for this role is $145,500 - $232,900. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set.
