Medical Assistant

A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Medical Assistant. Location: Lacey, WA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with arrival required by approximately 7:45 AM for office opening and setup Pay Rate: $24.00 an hour Key Responsibilities Interview patients and obtain comprehensive medical histories. Prepare clinical charts and conduct Medical Opinion (IMO) research before claimant appointments. Update and maintain medical records and billing reports while protecting patient confidentiality. Prepare and sanitize examination rooms and medical instruments. Escort and assist claimants throughout their appointments. Send ordered diagnostic testing to appropriate facilities and ensure timely processing. Obtain and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight. Perform phlebotomy and collect blood specimens for diagnostic testing. Perform EKGs, Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), and Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) testing as directed. Assist with visitor prescreening and veteran check-in/check-out using the PracticeSuite patient scheduling system. Coordinate with the Supervisor to maintain efficient clinic operations and appointment schedules. Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment. Operate office equipment including phones, fax machines, printers, scanners, and copiers. Assist with inventory management and supply ordering. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Requirements Previous Medical Assistant Proficiency in clinical procedures, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and PFTs. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ability to follow healthcare provider instructions.
