Responsibilities The General Manager role is dynamic, managing daily operations and overseeing staff while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. This leadership position involves training, developing team members, and driving restaurant profitability through sales performance. Ensure management practices align with company policies and local laws. Handle recruitment, hiring, and training of employees effectively. Cultivate a positive restaurant culture to enhance employee engagement. Mentor and coach staff to achieve job success and guest satisfaction. Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere to encourage team effort. Communicate sales performance and recognize variances for improvement. Participate in daily operational tasks when needed. Engage in sales building and suggestive selling initiatives. Maximize table turnover and overall sales metrics. Interact with guests, resolving any service or quality issues. Maintain efficient operations with appropriate cost controls. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, health codes, and safety policies. Establish safe work behaviors to create a secure environment. Monitor daily activities to uphold food quality and cleanliness standards. Oversee daily operations, including cash control and inventory management. Manage P&L and control food and labor costs effectively. Utilize proper recipes and portion controls to manage food costs. Optimize labor schedules based on sales performance.
