Summary:

Greentech Renewables is the nation's leading solar equipment distributor. Greentech Renewables distributes a full range of solar equipment to thousands of contractors throughout the United States, Caribbean, and Latin America, enabling solar installers to easily and cost-effectively design, sell, and install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.

Greentech Renewables’ Design Services Team is looking for a Service Lead, Energy Storage Systems for the assigned region, to help us manage our rapidly growing design services pipeline.

Reports to: Design Services Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years Solar design, engineering, or construction experience is required

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Solar Engineering or Project Management plus actual construction experience. Alternatively a journeyman electrician - project manager

• Experience in the installation, maintenance, design and permitting of ESS systems w/focus on California specific requirements

• Excellent CAD, Solar & ESS Code (NEC), and Solar/ESS Product knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

• EIT or PE License a plus

• NABCEP Certification a plus

• Solar Construction experience preferred over MBA or Master's in engineering

Working Conditions:

• Remote role with a focus on customer outreach

• Travel will be required for working in Profit Center(s)

• Travel will be required to visit trade shows or for company events

• Work standard business hours of 8am to 5pm within your time zone or within the time zone of the Division assigned

Essential Job Functions:

Project & Customer Support

In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, helping ensure projects move smoothly from start to finish.

• Support customer projects to ensure timelines and service‑level expectations are met

• Capture customer requirements accurately in CRM systems and help tailor solutions to meet both customer and jurisdictional needs

• Coordinate with internal production and vendor teams to ensure project details are executed correctly

• Partner with internal stakeholders to refine templates and processes that improve turnaround times, pass rates, and overall customer experience

• Act as the day‑to‑day customer contact , primarily via phone, providing updates, guidance, and problem resolution

• Assist with onboarding and training new customers

• Support change requests, technical questions, and ongoing project communication

Relationship & Business Development

This role is heavily relationship‑driven and ideal for someone who enjoys building trust, growing accounts, and staying connected to the field .

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers through regular outreach

• Proactively follow up with customers to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and maintain engagement

• Review reporting and trends to address recurring challenges before they escalate

• Re‑engage inactive or “fall‑off” customers and work with internal teams to win back business Classify and track customer fall‑off to improve retention strategies

• Collaborate closely with Profit Center (PC) Sales teams and Managers when challenges or opportunities arise

• Actively grow the business by targeting key accounts and supporting smooth customer onboarding

• Maintain an active prospect list and consistently pursue new opportunities

• Serve as a connector between PC Managers, Inside Sales, and Outside Sales to ensure customers receive full support

Communication, Forecasting & Accountability

• Conduct regular check‑ins with internal teams and customers

• Provide feedback internally and externally to support continuous improvement

• Review performance metrics and reports to track progress and accountability

• Communicate with each Profit Center at least once per month

• Visit each Profit Center approximately once per quarter , when feasible

• Maintain quarterly per‑PC goals for residential projects and commercial quoting activity

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $70000 to $90000 annually.
