Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required, Level 1 Trauma experience preferred. License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Experience with: - Impella post cardiac surgery (directly from the OR) - Post cardiac surgery (not directly from the OR) - Pre/Post cardiac catheterization/intervention - Pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring - Thermodilution PA catheter monitoring - Experience with arterial lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs - EPIC charting system experience Description: This position requires specialized experience in a high-acuity setting. Candidates must have a strong background in post cardiac surgery care. Traveler will float to other units as needed based on patient census. Targeted patient ratios are 1:2. Weekend and holiday availability is required every other week. Floating may include other nearby facilities within a reasonable distance. Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives. The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census with notice. Candidates must complete an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting. Floating candidates must be comfortable performing assigned duties in different units. Maximum of 14 days of requested time off allowed per contract. No schedule requests or RTO will be negotiated after an offer is made. Candidates must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.
