Location: Mercy Medical Center, 2175 Rosaline Avenue, Redding, CA 96001

Start Date: 08/08/2026 (multiple shift dates available)

End Date/Duration: Varies; assignments available on specific dates (Sept 4-6, Oct 7, Oct 11-14, Oct 18-21, Oct 24-29)

Shift: PM shift, 3 p.m. 1 a.m.

Hours/Week: Varies by schedule

Licenses/Certifications: CA NP license, ACLS, ATLS, PALS preferred

Experience: Trauma or critical care experience preferred

Conduct patient histories and physical exams within trauma protocols

Make assessments, diagnoses, and initiate or revise treatment plans

Order and interpret diagnostic studies (X-ray, labs, etc.)

Recognize urgent situations requiring physician intervention

Counsel patients on health concerns, medications, and recovery management

Facilitate hospital admissions and coordinate patient care and referrals

Administer medications and transmit prescriptions under supervision

Assist in surgery as a first or second assist, with documented training or competency

Support surgical procedures, including local anesthesia, suturing, wound care, fracture management, and more

Valid California Nurse Practitioner license

Trauma or critical care experience preferred

Ability to work independently on scheduled dates

Comfortable supporting surgical procedures when necessary

Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
